Lead ITM Research Office

I completed my social sciences training at the universities of Antwerpen and Leuven. After my PhD at KU Leuven (1999), I joined KU Leuven Research Coordination to do postdoctoral research on factors contributing to PhD success and was involved in the set-up of the doctoral schools. In 2007 I started working at the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp (ITM) as Academic Coordinator of Research. Since 2018 I am leading ITM’s Research Office. My main responsibilities are:

-Research policy and advice

-Coordination of ITM’s Research Fund

-Supporting the activities  of the ITM PhD Committee in view of PhD admission

-Supporting  ITM’s Scientific Advisory Council

-Facilitating Research Cooperation agreements with universities and institutions
