Marjan Van Esbroeck is a clinical pathologist, approved medical microbiologist and the director of the clinical laboratory focussing on travel and import medicine, responsible for the National Reference Center (NRC) for arboviruses, Rickettsia and Coxiella, and for the national reference laboratory for Entamoeba histolytica, Cryptosporidium, Leishmania, Leptospira and Plasmodium.
