Steven Van Den Broucke teaches various short courses within the Masters in Tropical Health (MTM) program at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp, Belgium.
- Tropical Medicine and Clinical Decision Making (TMCDM):
- Teaching the clinical decision-making module and topics such as encephalitis, endemic mycosis, fever, intestinal protista, leishmania, leprosy, tropical hematology, tropical viruses, and ulcers, among others.
- Short Course in Clinical Research and Evidence-Based Medicine (SCREM): Student guidance.
- Challenges in International Health Course (CIH): in this course, Steven lectures on critical topics such as ‘The Impact of Climate Change on Infectious Diseases', 'Disaster and Refugee Camp Management', 'Infectious Diseases in Emergency Settings' and 'The Set-Up of an NCD Project'.
- Thesis Supervision: mentored students’ master thesis from 2014, guiding 1 to 2 students annually. Presently, he is supervising a thesis about 'Eosinophilia in Returning Travelers and Migrants.'
- Flemisch course on Infectious Diseases: teaching on zoonoses, OneHealth, Lyme disease and tropical medicine.
