A pilot intervention to improve quality of life of people living with HIV through addressing sleep problems

Project Details

Description

Sleep problems are highly prevalent in people living with HIV (PLWH) and have a major impact on their mental and physical health and quality of life. This pilot project aims to develop and test a psychosocial intervention to improve sleep quality. The intervention consists of guided psychoeducation and tailored cognitive-behavioural techniques. We will include 25 PLWH in follow-up at ITM clinic who indicate impaired sleep, to conduct the intervention and assess its acceptability and feasibility before broad implementation in clinical practice.
