Description
To monitor and identify by morphologic and molecular methods Culicoides spp occurring in Belgium. To study the population dynamics and habitat of major vector species. In collaboration with Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre to detect potential vectors by demonstrating virus in captured female Culicoides spp. To train in essential research activities and collection techniques to enable online information exchange on the subject.
