Objectives
General Objective: The general objective of the research is to explore and understand the socio-epidemiology of HIV infection among wives of labor migrants in the far-western region of Nepal in order to help develop effective strategies to prevent HIV infection in women.
Specific Objectives: The specific objectives of the research are to-
1. Identify risk factors and vulnerability for HIV infection among wives of labor migrants inthe far-western region of Nepal.
2. Describe the sexual experiences of wives of labor migrants as well as condom use andHIV testing uptake among them in the far-western region of Nepal.
3. Conduct a systematic review on stigma and the effectiveness of stigma reduction interventions on HIV testing uptake in low and middle-income countries.
4. Explore the effects of stigma on HIV testing uptake among wives of labor migrants in the far-western region of Nepal.
