Promoting Rapid Initiation, Outreach, and Retention in PrEP for Non-Belgian Men who have sex with Men in Antwerp

Project Details

Description

Non-Belgian men who have sex with men (MSM) and other key populations remain underserved and have insufficient access to oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention. This is a demonstration study with an embedded randomised comparison of two digital follow-up options. We will test and evaluate an integrated service delivery model along three pillars of the PrEP continuum: REACH (network-based outreach), INITIATE (fast-track pathways via ITM and a community pop-up clinic), and RETAIN (low-threshold, digital support). The goal is to translate proven oral PrEP efficacy into real-world effectiveness for an underserved, population, i.e. non-Belgian MSM (from low- and middle-income countries, LMIC).
