Technical Assistance to the second nationwide Tuberculosis Drug Resistance Survey in Bangladesh from 2018 to 2019

Support by ITM for the following activities: 1. Quality assurance 1st & 2nd-line drug testing 2. Sequencing of isolates for rpoB discordance and NTM identification, total strains 3. Target deep sequencing on ethanol preserved sputum for back-up testing for MDRs and retreatment, in case culture is negative/contaminated 4. Target deep sequencing on ethanol preserved sputum for prevalence of fluoroquinolone resistance 5. To recheck DST for first line anti TB drugs for new and retreatment culture samples 6. To check DST for second line anti TB drugs for new and retreatment MDR-TB samples 7. To communicate the results to the PI of TB Drug Resistance Survey
